Professor Maurice Bric teaches history at University College Dublin and is the 2009 Peter O'Brien Visiting Scholar at the School of Canadian Irish Studies at Concordia.  Professor Bric is the author of a number of abstracts and books on Irish and American history as well as on higher education policy in Ireland.  His recent book, Ireland, Philadelphia and the Re-Invention of America, 1760-1800, won the Irish Historical Research Prize for 2009.
