2012 Amount awarded: $500
2012 Recipient:
Pierangela Lattuca
I was raised in Stoney Creek, Ontario and moved to Montreal to learn French. I married and started my family in Montreal. I realized that I really wanted to restart my studies and was immediately drawn to history. I began to take some of the courses offered by the School of Canadian Irish Studies and I realized that I really was drawn, in particular, to Irish history. I hope to able to apply my studies to promote Irish and Canadian history. I also have an interest in the Irish language which I am currently studying. I am very grateful to the donors of the Gerard Keyes scholarship for giving me the opportunity to continue my studies.
